Partnership

Seedorf Power Corp. is looking for partnerships with roof and land owners in Ontario. Specifically, we are seeking south-facing roofs greater than 700 m2 in area and land greater than 5 acres with wind resources greater than 6 m/s. Information on your wind resource is available from the Ontario Wind Atlas. In addition, your roof/land must be located adjacent to a power line with greater than 100 kW capacity. We will work with Hydro One or your local utility to determine whether there is sufficient line capacity to support a renewable power project.

Seedorf Power Corp. uses a revenue-sharing model to compensate roof and land owners for use of their property. No investment is required of property owners. If you are interested in exploring partnership possibilities, please contact us.

South-facing roofs over 700 m2 make for the best solar power projects. Ground-mounted projects can also be highly successful, although these can only be developed on land classes 3-7 in Ontario. More information here.

The best sites in Ontario are located at the eastern edge of lakes and open areas. Industrial wind turbines are usually 1-2 MW in capacity, and can be connected to the grid as either stand-alone turbines or in wind farms. More information here.

As part of Ontario's 2009 Green Energy Act, the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) is managing a feed-in-tariff (FIT) program. This FIT provides independent power producers an incentive to produce renewable electricity for Ontario's power grid.

A requirement of the FIT program is that all projects receive a Renewable Energy Approval (REA) to ensure they are environmentally sustainable. Project developers must also consult extensively with the local community.
